It works now and that’s great, but I’m not trying to do anything that isn’t advertised as being capable by default. I think having to put code in every time I update the theme is not a great solution.
Reading into it, editing the functions file is highly unrecommended.
When the form is filled, the page just blinks and refreshes, the content inputted isn’t saved, mailchip doesn’t get anything and the page the user is supposed to be taken to doesn’t happen
