I installed the woow theme on a development site in March 2018, at that time the mailchimp integration worked flawlessly. Now I am suddenly getting a cannot subscribe to mailchimp error, as well, when I put in my api key in the dashboard my lists are not retrieved. I installed mailchimp for wordpress plugin and I am able to connect to mailchimp fine from my wordpress installation.
Did something happen? I think this is definitely related to the theme.
