very unusual for them not to reply. They are usually really good. I too have had this issue multiple times and until i worked it out it did my head in.

I altered the code in the functions file and then added .btn-color { background: green } to the styles.css in the child theme but it didn’t change the colour of the background???
I also tried adding it in the custom CSS box through the theme but it didn’t work
