However at the end the customer decided to change the look and remove the catregories. Nevertheless, you will know that there is an issue and will fix it for the future releases.

Any news about this issue? It is not an issue with WPML. The Categories menu works fine on one of the languages and you claim that the theme fully supports WPML.

The owner of the shop has added categories no again, so I placed them in the Categories menu. You can see how the menu does not appear static on the home page in English (it appears in Bulgarian, the main language, only). The menu is setup correctly and it appears in both languages but in English it is not visible on Home until you move the mouse over the Categories item in the menu. I have attached the image from the English (second language) home page.
The categories are temporarily removed by the owner of the website (we are the developer) so once they are created, I will write here again so you may check the issue. I suppose it is not an WPML issue but a theme issue. Did you try it on a temporary installation at your site? i.e. create 2 categories in 2 lanaguages with WPML and add them to the Categories menu. Then you will see how it works on the main language and doesn’t work well on the second one.
The Categories menu now stays open all the time. It should appear only when the menu is on top of the page i.e. when you scroll the page down it should disappear. It is NOT alright now as it is.
There is an issue on the English part of the website. The categories menu won’t appear unless you move the mouse over it and is not fixed when you open the homepage. Also the content is not well positioned as it should be and this is due to the same problem.
