Regarding note # 2, please check the attached screen shot “example1” there is a green box with the “Block Style” name. next to the red arrow. When you click on it, it leads you to the related category. The same box doesn’t appear at all the blocks on the homepage.
Trying to make things more clear, am bringing in the English theme. Under the following link, you can see at the attached screenshot: “example2” the category “Popular” highlighted inside the “block Style”:

I did translate some of the words inside the defult.po file in the directory wp-content/themes/newsri/language but i can’t see changes on the website.
Also i can’t locate sitesao-core inside the plugins
/wp-content/plugins/sitesao-core/languages
Before updating to PHP 7 or 7.1 would like to check if the theme is compatible with these versions.
Last, could you please advice on points 2 and 4 from my original message.
