Remove transparancy in main menu?

Hi,

I cannot find an option to change the transparancy of the main navigation bar. The picture that is used on the main page is now used as background.

I would like to give it a fixed color, like the sticky top menu.

Setting the background color in CSS does the job only partly – it’s not filling the screen only the mid section, see the attached picture to for an illustrtation.
