I built a website for a client that’s using DHVC Woocommerce Products Layouts and Woocommerce Product Page for Visual Composer. After updating to WooCommerce v2.5.x a couple of weeks ago their site broke BIGtime because pagination stopped working. After a lot of troubleshooting we figured out that the problem was due to an outdated version of your plugin… We were running a version that was 6 releases old. Once I upgraded the plugins the problem went away.
I never had any idea that your plugin was out of date because it never came up on the WordPress Updates screen in the Dashboard. I can only patch plugins if I’m aware that an update is available. Every other WordPress plugin we use notifies us when a new version comes out, and the fact that yours didn’t literally cost my client thousands of dollars last month.
They are extremely frustrated and I empathize with them, especially since the problem could have been avoided.
Why don’t either of the plugins notify me that an update is available, and when can I expect to see that functionality added?
