Hi there,
I have been having some issues with Google analytics and Google tag manager reporting accurate woocomerce sales.
I had someone look into this for me and they told me i was missing a “hook” that was causing some problems. At first they thought it was missing from the theme but the theme devs assured me it was in there.
This is what he initially said to me:ecomm_prodid is not being populated on category pagesYour AdWords remarketing tag do not see what products the user has seen on your category pages. This also affects Google Analytics enhanced ecommerce tracking on product list pages. The reason for this is that your theme altered a WooCommerce template file and do not utilize an important WooCommerce hook called woocommerce_before_shop_loop_item:You should contact the theme author and ask them to correct this. Then after explaining to him that the theme devs thought the hook was there he sent me the following:
The required hook is indeed included in the theme. I logged into your wp admin again and dug deep into what is happening: there is a plugin called DHVC Woocommerce Products Layouts installed. This adds additional fields on the WooCommerce category edit page which also enables you to select a specific page template for a category.
As far as I can see this custom page is being used to generate category pages:But here I was not able to investigate further as this is a big plugin and I can not decide whether Visual Composer is missing to call this hook or “DHVC Woocommerce Products Layouts”————————————————–
Does that makes sense to you and can you provide a solution to this issue?
Thank you as always for your help
Cheers
Scott
