API Problems

I’m using the DHVC Forms to collect email addresses on my site so that I can add them to Mailchimp via API. I’ve spent a few hours talking to the Mailchimp support team today because there are 2 welcome emails being sent for each user instead of 1.

The issue is that only a single welcome email should be sent when a new user is added to the corresponding list but 2 are being sent:

– An automatic custom welcome email (supposed to be sent);

– An automatic one triggered via API (not supposed to be sent);

After much troubleshooting they managed to work out that the form is using an outdated version of their API and is therefore triggering the second welcome email at the same time.

They said that I should contact the plugin author and ask them (you) to update the plugin to use Mailchimps 3.0 version of their API and they linked me to this documentation:

Please can you update the DHVC form plugin to include Mailchimp API 3.0 compatibility?
