might you consider the following developments: make the type of view/layout dependent on media queries.

E.g a setup allowing users to configure the filters to be displayed as follows (for example), with customisable breakpoints.

for screens <481px offcanvas
for screens <768px top
for screens greater than that sidebar (assuming you have a theme that has sidebars appearing only at certain sizes.
